Papers, 1888-2000, collected and produced by Dr. Allan M. Johnson during his career as student, professor, and research leader at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. Includes research material, articles and photographs relating to different geological projects, scientific journals and papers. The majority of these pertain to minerals of the Upper Peninsula as well as the safety and environmental issues of local mines in the Upper Peninsula.
Almon P. Young Papers
Personal papers, circa 1900-circa 1946, of Almon P. Young, a professor at the Michigan College of Mining and Technology (now Michigan Technological University) in Houghton, Michigan. Includes personal correspondence, correspondence from India, expense records, scrapbooks, clippings, and other printed ephemera as well as a banner from Purdue University, of which Young was a graduate. In addition to having worked at the Nadiad Industrial Institute, Young did missionary work in India.
