Engineering field notes, circa 1916, from the Interstate Commerce Commission Bureau of Valuation's survey of railroad structures. Includes photocopies from the National Archives and Records Administration of building survey sheets with descriptions, photographs and floor and elevation plans of buildings owned by the Duluth, South Shore and Atlantic Railroad, such as the depot in Calumet originally constructed by the Mineral Range Railroad.

Includes images of ships, railroads, lighthouses, schools, copper mines and minings and buildings as well as local sports teams, local residents and Keweenaw scenery. Also includes photographs of the construction and installation of the Bishop Baraga monument on Keweenaw Bay.

Includes diaries, photographs, textbooks, instruments and mine maps of properties he worked on as well as several souvenir spoons and service medals from the Spanish-American War.
