Hayes' research focuses on Leavitt's association as a consulting engineer with the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company and his relationship with the president, Alexander Agassiz. Also contains a chronological summary from newspaper accounts of the Copper Miners' Strike, 1913-1914 as well as other ephemera including poems by Wesley Williams, memorabilia cards and admission tickets.
