Dr. Clarence Bennetts Collection
Collection, 1893-1901, compiled by Dr. Clarence Bennetts. Includes programs and invitations for receptions and dances by the Calumet Light Guard, programs and invitations to various fraternal organizations, church groups and a wedding, a commencement program for Calumet High School, newspaper clippings on Central Mine and a photocopy of John R. Bennetts' journal containing information on the Bennetts and Rosewarne families and the people of Central Mine.
Edwin J. Collins Collection
Collection, 1897-1956, of Edwin J. Collins, a veteran of the Spanish-American War, a 1903 graduate of the Michigan College of Mines (later Michigan Technological University) and eventual member of the board of directors for the Calumet and Arizona Mining Company. Includes diaries, photographs, textbooks, instruments and mine maps of properties he worked on as well as several souvenir spoons and service medals from the Spanish-American War.

Hayes' research focuses on Leavitt's association as a consulting engineer with the Calumet and Hecla Mining Company and his relationship with the president, Alexander Agassiz.
