Cash book, 1891-1913, of the Longyear Fund, an endowed loan established by J. M. Longyear, a member of the Board of Control of the Michigan Mining School (now Michigan Technological University) in Houghton, Michigan. The financial aid was awarded to students, based on need, who were expected to pay back the loan with interest after graduation. Bound volume details payments made by recipients.
