Biography
"The Goodman Lumber Company was founded in 1907, originally formed to salvage several million feet of white pine timber that had been killed or damaged by fire. Immediately after its organization, the company began negotiations for the purchase of additional timberland in northwestern Marinette County, Wisconsin and adjacent counties. The Goodman Lumber Company consisted of C.A. Goodman, president; W.O. Goodman, vice-president; R.F. Goodman, treasurer; K. Sawyer Goodman, assistant treasurer; and R.B. Goodman, secretary and resident manager. The major figures in the actual operations of the company were Charles A. Goodman and Robert B. Goodman" (Randall E.
