Collection, 1860-1901, of the Hennes family, owners of several general stores in Michigan's Copper Country. This collection contains the personal papers of Louis Hennes, an immigrant from Germany. Includes an original diary as well as transcribed and translated diaries of Louis Hennes. Also contains photographs, business records, clippings, and digitized photographs and documents.
