Abstract

Photograph collection, circa 1930-circa 1965, from Carolyn Rowland. Photographs are from her grandmother's albums and include images from Freda, Redridge, Beacon Hill and Eagle River, Michigan. In addition to snapshots of family and friends, there are photographs of the Freda school, the Champion Mill (including some construction), the Finnish Lutheran Church in Redridge, and the Beacon Hill Mill.

The second largest mining company in the Copper Country (after Calumet & Hecla), the Copper Range Company was the only one to endure past the 1960s.
