Scope and Contents

Collection, 1998-2004, of material pertaining to Herman Gundlach, Jr. kept by former Gundlach Champion, Inc. spokesman, Daniel LeVeque. Material included in the collection primarily documents Gundlach’s work as owner and president of the Gundlach Champion, Inc. Construction Services. Included are videodiscs, VHS tapes, and video shot lists; as well as a copy of Michigan Constructor (2012) featuring Gundlach and a plaque honoring Herman Gundlach in the Michigan Construction Hall of Fame (2002).

Biographical / Historical

Daniel LeVeque recevied a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1969. LeVeque began working part-time for Gundlach in 1971, eventually becoming a company spokesman and was made president in 1996. Since 2008 LeVeque has served as President Emeritus for Gundlach Champion, Inc. and also serves on the Construction Management Industrial Advisory Board.
