Biography
Dr. James R. Lisa was born in Calumet, Michigan in 1889, although he was a longtime resident of New York City before moving to Medford, New Jersey. Lisa was a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in World War I and was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he was associated with Doctor's Hospital, New York City, from which he retired. He was past president of the Pathology Society and a 50-year member of the George Washington Lodge No. 285, Free and Accepted Masons.
