Scope and Contents
Scrapbook, approximately 1920-1935, belonging to Josephine Solf, given to her upon graduation from Painesdale High School in 1930. Included are photographs, programs and greeting cards documenting her and some of her siblings' graduation from Painesdale; as well as handwritten notes from her classmates. Also contains material from her college years at Northern Teachers College (Marquette, MI).

Biographical / Historical
Josephine Solf was born on November 16, 1911 in Hancock, Michigan to Gust Solf and Barbara Reinwand. She was a graduate of Painesdale High School (1930) and attended college at Northern Teachers College in Marquette, where she earned her teaching degree in 1934. In the late 1930s she moved to Rogers City and taught within the city school system. She married Frank L. Reinke in Rogers City, Michigan on October 8, 1941 and the couple had four children, Richard, Robert J, Barbara J, and Mary Sue. Josephine continued to live in Rogers until her death on October 23, 2008.
