Historical Note
The "Keweenawan" is the yearbook of Michigan Technological University. First published in 1916, the original yearbook was named the "Engineer." The next yearbook appeared in 1924, named the "Keweenawan," where it included accounts of student experiences at the Michigan College of Mines prior to 1924. Published sporadically up until 1938, the "Keweenawan" became an annual publication at that time, a true yearbook. After 1990, it again was published only sporadically with a hiatus until 1999.
