Biography

Mining and surveying classes at the Michigan Mining School (subsequently Michigan College of Mines, Michigan College of Mining and Technology, and now Michigan Technological University) in Houghton, Michigan journeyed to mines in Michigan and other states. A classroom space was even excavated in the Quincy Mining Company No. 5 shaft.
