Field notebooks, 1908-1946, of Henry J. Olk, a graduate of the Michigan College of Mines (now Michigan Technological University) in Houghton, Michigan. Includes three field notebooks, two of which date from his time at the College, while one is dated considerably later, probably while he was working as the City Engineer in Antigo, Wisconsin. Also includes a textbook, apparently compiled by Olk from a mining class.

Biography
Henry J. Olk was born in Antigo, Wisconsin in 1887. He went on to attend the Michigan College of Mines (now Michigan Technological University) in Houghton, Michigan. He received his E.M. degree circa 1908 and went on to become the city engineer for Antigo, Wisconsin. Henry Olk passed away in 1977.
