Established in 1921 to inform Michigan College of Mines (now Michigan Technological University) students about campus affairs from a student prospective; inform the rest of the campus community, alumni, parents, local residents and other friends of the college about campus affairs; providing a headline news service for national and international news; informing the campus community about relevant local and regional news and events; informing students and the larger Michigan College of Mines community about national trends in higher education and their relevance to the college; informing students and the larger campus community about changes in Michigan and their relevance to Michigan College of Mines.
