Collection, 1930-2004, of the Athletic Department at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. Contains department records including minutes from department meetings, Athletic Council meetings and staff meetings, correspondence, memorandums, project files, student files, budget and scheduling records. Also includes souvenir programs for hockey, score books for women's varsity basketball and volleyball, audiovisual materials as well as photographs.

Biography

Michigan Technological University Athletics supports the University by providing high quality nationally competitive athletic programs that promote academic excellence and develop leaders. Michigan Technological University's sports teams are called the Huskies. The Huskies participate in NCAA Division II as a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, a member of the Central Collegiate Ski Association for men's and women's nordic skiing, and NCAA Division I Western Collegiate Hockey Association for men's ice hockey.
