Biographical note

F. Peter Ambrosiani was born in 1915 in Poughkeepsie, New York and attended high school in Oneida, New York. In 1938 he graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering. He was a registered professional engineer in Ohio and West Virginia where he was president of Industrial Welding Company in Beckley, West Virginia and its subsidiary, the Axidyne Fan Company. He was previously employed by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company where he was the manager of Western Mining Territories and Wilcox Manufacturing, manufacturers of continuous mining machines for thin vein coal seams where he was the general manager. Mr. Ambrosiani passed away in 1996.

Arrangement

The negatives were originally separated into separate envelopes by subject and year. That original organization has been maintained.

Processing Information

Initial processing started by Elizabeth Russell in 2013. Collection was located on shelving unit in the workroom in February 2020 and processing was completed by Allison Neely on February 6, 2020.
