Biography
St. Anne's Church in Hancock, Michigan was the Catholic parish the French Canadians used between 1861 and 1884. In 1889 it became St. Patrick's, an Irish parish. At that time the French Canadians switched to nearby St. Joseph's. In 1875, a group of men started a temperance society under the auspices of the church, The Temperance Society of St. Anne's Church.
