Copper Country Store Ledgers
Collection Scope and Content Summary
Store ledgers, 1868-1888, from unidentified stores in Michigan's Copper Country. While the seven ledgers probably come from different stores, they all appear to have been general stores, selling a variety of goods from foodstuffs to hardware. The corporate customers listed indicate the general geographical area as the Copper Country. It is thought that the ledgers in boxes two and three may have originated near Central Mine.
