Biography

George Henry Smith was born in 1896 in Brighton, Massachusetts. Following his education he was employed by Stone and Webster Engineering Corporation, an engineering firm based in Boston specializing in electric power plants. His occupation was listed as "Field Accountant," meaning he travelled to different job sites to oversee the accounting for the length of the project. In 1930-1931 he was attached with a project for the Ahmeek Stamp Mill with offices in Hubbell, Michigan.
