Biography
The Off the Beaten Pathfinders organization was founded by Dr. Robert Brown, a professor of plant ecology at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan. The group was organized for the environmental protection of Michigan's Copper Country. The group grew and eventually became the Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition.
