Biography
Karki Hill Cemetery is located in Portage Township, Michigan. The land was donated by Joseph and Rachel Karki to the community in 1892 in accordance with the plan of the original settlers. __Askel Cemetery, formerly known as the Otter Lake Public Cemetery, is also located in Portage Township, Michigan. It was established in 1921 because the Karki Hill Cemetery was too difficult to access, particularly in the spring when the road to Karki Hill is too muddy to travel.
