Biography
John J. Kroll was an alumnus of Michigan College of Mining and Technology (now Michigan Technological University) in Houghton, Michigan. After graduation he became a medical photographer and developed a method of producing photomicrograhs of chemicals, metals, rock sections, plant and human tissues. After his retirement, he produced these photomicrographs as pieces of art, displaying in several exhibitions.
