Biography
Martin Britz was born in 1907 in Houghton, Michigan and attended the St. Ignatius School before graduating from Houghton High School in 1926. He was a veteran of World War II where he served with the U.S. Navy's Seebees. Mr. Britz was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' at the Houghton County Memorial Airport, later working for Wenberg Sales in Dollar Bay until his retirement. Martin Britz passed away in 1979.

Acquisition
A gift of thirteen cubic feet containing legal, merchant, and freight records from firms in Michigan's Copper Country were donated to the Michigan Technological University Archives and Copper Country Historical Collections by Martin Britz on November 7, 1972.
