Administrative History
Calumet Brewing Company was incorporated on November 21, 1899 in Red Jacket, Michigan (now Calumet). Joseph Schroeder served as the President and Marcus Sterk served as the Vice-President. Business was operated outside of Red Jacket in Lakeview. After Prohibition the brewery manufactured near beer until that part of the business was discontinued on April 30, 1919. The brewery also manufactured soft drinks for a short period until business was officially dissolved in 1923.
