From the Collection:

Research material, 2001, for the Historic Houghton Walking Tour, a walking tour of Houghton, Michigan that illustrates the roles of various influences that built and changed the city through the years. There is a virtual tour available on-line that complements the walking tour. Includes research data and text for the walking tour signage. While the project was made possible by the City of Houghton Preservation Committee, the historic research and text was provided by Erik Nordberg, University Archivist at Michigan Technological University. Additional research was completed by undergraduate students in an architecture class taught by professor Kim Hoagland.

Conditions Governing Technical Access

Box 2, folder 4 contains one CD-R with JPG files, requiring use of CD playback equipment. As of 06/04/2024 files reviewed on disk are inaccessible with error note of: "file structure is corrupted and unreadable."
