From the Series:

The Central Mine was bounded on the east and west by two competing mining companies, the Northwestern and Winthrop mines, respectively. Here can be found some annual reports to stockholders and miscellaneous materials about these mines’ histories. After the Central Mine ceased operations at the turn of the twentieth century, another company, the Frontenac Copper Company, was formed to further exploit the mineral resources of the Central Mine’s former property.
