The Copper Range Company’s Houghton Office maintained a central file of outgoing correspondence. This included the correspondence of the Copper Range Railroad Company and other subsidiaries that were based in Houghton.

The extensive correspondence is often routine but provides an unusually complete look at the activities of the Houghton Office. Note that correspondents with their own folders in some years may have their letters in general folders for other years.
