Tug & freighter TURRET CHIEF on rocky shore; ran aground 5 miles E. of Copper Harbor in big storm, on Sat. 1913 Nov. 8. Crews made shelters in woods, stayed for three days, then walked to Copper Harbor. At that time, boat estimated to have 1500 tons of ice on her. Captain censured for lack of seamanship.
