Scope and Contents

Negatives and photographic prints of organized and identified individual and group portraits of people primarily from Houghton and Keweenaw counties. A small number of the portraits are of people residing in the central and eastern Upper Peninsula and the Lower Peninsula. Wedding, funeral, and family portraits and various photographs documenting special occasions can be found in this series.This series is divided into three subseries: Subseries 2.1, Portraits Identified in Studio Register, Subseries 2.2, Portraits Unidentified in Studio Portrait, and Subseries 2.3, Group Portraits/Events.
